My new album 'The Soul of Things' is out now and I'm excited to share it with you.
The idea of this album was not just to write music about ordinary things, but rather to reflect on my relation to these objects.
The things that surround us, the things that belong to us.
Objects that you use regularly and that are part of everyday life.
Items that you wouldn't give away. That you like to have around you, that you like to touch.
Why do we keep certain things with us, and why do they have a special charisma for us?
There are so many inexplicable things in relation to these objects and their meaning for you.
And there is a certain magic about it...

I recorded a piece for piano specially for Radio Eins Show "Schöne Töne", which will be on air tonight 11 pm. In this episode, show host Sven Helbig will celebrate 'Piano Day' with some exclusive recordings.

I´m happy to share my new single 'Apparat' with you.
It's a piece for piano, harp, cello and electronics and the 3rd single from my upcoming album 'The Soul of Things'.

Once again I had the chance to collaborate with my friend and big inspiration, composer Sven Helbig. We did a remake of Kristjan´s wonderful composition 'Frozen Tears' (out now on Modern Recordings / BMG).

Whenever I listen to the music of Joseph Haydn, I love the playful attitude - his music is always flooded with light.
I had the chance to write some variations over his music and to perform it with award winning Dogma Chamber Orchestra and Stephen Waarts on solo violin.

Das preisgekrönte dogma chamber orchestra (ECHO Klassik, Opus Klassik) lädt gemeinsam mit international gefeierten Ausnahmekünstler*innen zu einem musikalischen Experiment ein.
Der Name Joseph Haydn steht für klassische Musik, große Tradition und Fantasie. Das Echo seiner Werke klingt nun über 200 Jahre nach – in den Solokonzerten, Symphonien und in der Kammermusik. Doch was nehmen die Musiker*innen und die Zuhörer*innen von seiner Musik noch wahr, und wie lebendig fühlt sie sich für uns – Menschen im 21. Jahrhundert – an?
